School Activities
In addition to the school curriculum, additional school
activities
include art
enrichment, Student Council, bowling,
and soccer.
Art Enrichment
Sacred Heart
students have the opportunity to create and submit artwork and art
projects for a
variety of activities and events, as well as contests sponsored by community organizations.
Special
Art
Students in grades four, five, and six have the opportunity to
spend "extra time" in Art if they choose to participate in "Special Art"
once a week during their recess time.
Students are encouraged to express their creativity and individuality.
Projects often reflect a special time of year or event, such as these
Halloween ghosts.
Student Council
Students
have the opportunity to develop and exercise their leadership skills in
service to the school through the Student Council. Student Council
Officers are elected from grade 6 candidates, and Homeroom Representatives
(secretary and treasurer) are elected from each classroom in grades 4, 5
and 6.
Bowling
Every other Friday afternoon, approximately 200 students
participate in the Sacred Heart bowling program. Grades one through four
bowl at Alley Kat Lanes, while
grades five and six work on perfecting their
game at Executive Lanes in Kingston.
