Philosophy
As members of the educational community of Sacred Heart Elementary School, we are participants in both the teaching mission of the RomanOutdoor Family Liturgy at Sacred Heart Elementary School Catholic Church and the mission of the Congregation of Divine Providence. We are committed to proclaiming and integrating into our curriculum the message of compassion, justice and peace. Inherent in this message is the challenge to respect the rights, dignity and worth of every human being. Our educational focus is directed toward spiritual and academic growth with a global view that seeks the positive good in and for all.    Students perform closing song during outdoor Liturgy

Mission
Our mission is to make God’s Providence more visible in our world by a lived proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus and providing the instruction that will enable students to lead and to interact with others in actively shaping the future of the Church and the global community.

To this end, we strive to empower our students by:

  • developing an understanding of, genuine concern for, and affirmation of each child’s unique giftedness and goodness;

  • fostering reverence for the gift of human life and all life forms;

  • assisting them in the development of skills in areas of self-discipline, critical thinking and leadership;

  • providing quality instruction in all facets of the curriculum, preparing them to live within a Church and global community undergoing constant change;

  • encouraging and fostering an appreciation of holistic growth that includes challenges both spiritual and academic.
